CAMPING RECIPES for the “Outdoorsy Foodie”

I am not a chef… but I am a foodie, a world traveler, and am all about being comfortable and eating and drinking well while camping.

Please enjoy my novice recipe that is easy enough for camping but delicious enough to share with friends. This recipe is inspired by the Bedouin Tea I had in both Jordan and Egypt. Some versions will include cardamom pods, thyme, and/or cinnamon sticks.

This is my favourite combination.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Sage Leaves

  • 6 Mint Leaves

  • 1/2 tsp of Simple Syrup

  • 1 Black Tea Bag (English Breakfast or Orange Pekoe)

DIRECTION

  1. Boil Water and Steep Black Tea

  2. Put Simple Syrup, Mint, and Sage in Glass

  3. Pour Tea into Mint/Sage/Simple Syrup Glass

  4. ENJOY!
